Money bring power, respect, and happiness. Money bring power because you can pay people to do things you can pay people to take their spot in things. Money bring respect because people respect people with money more than people without money. Money bring happiness because if you have money you can buy anything but you cant buy love you have to find it. 

The real reason people want to be rich isn't so they can buy stuff, Its so they can have power over others. People want influence and respect and they see that people with money have influence and respect. 

Money may or may not bring happiness in life , but the lack of money can certainly bring unhappiness and misery. Therefore a person should find a way to earn an adequate income and live within his or her means. So money cannot make you happy but it can protect you from many worries that can really make you unhappy.
